# PodMeister

> PodMeister is a podcast player for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch with a music brain: it turns published tracklists into tappable chapters, builds smart playlists from rules, and makes chapters from on-device transcripts. It is built for DJ mixes and radio shows and fully equipped for talk shows. Free on the App Store with no ads; PodMeister Plus is an optional yearly subscription.

## What it does

- Tracklists as chapters: when a show publishes a tracklist, PodMeister turns it into tappable chapters, so the playing track's ID is shown in the player. With Plus, the Tracklist Companion adds the track to your Apple Music library or finds it in Spotify in one tap. You can save your favourite tracklist site as a bookmark and open it from the app.
- Smart playlists (custom playlists are Plus): rules on followed shows, words in titles, listening status, downloads, release date and duration; include and exclude shows, choose sort order and cap the size.
- On-device transcription (Beta, Plus): read along, search inside episodes, and build chapters from what was said. Audio stays on the device unless you switch on Apple's server speech service.
- Artwork-matched player built from Apple's Liquid Glass controls.
- Playback: speed 0.5x to 3x with pitch preserved, Skip Quiet Gaps, Soften Silence, smart resume, sleep timer, per-show settings, play while downloading.
- Sound (Plus): ten-band equaliser with eight presets, Clearer Voices and Loudness Levelling.
- Discover: charts for 14 genres in 11 regions, PodMeister Picks (shows whose feeds carry chapters, transcripts or timestamps), 150 curated DJ mixes and radio shows, and video podcasts.
- Library: favourites, Save for Later, Up Next, search into show notes, Spotlight, OPML import and export.
- New-episode alerts: free on-device checks, or instant notifications for public feeds with Plus.
- Listening insights and a shareable year-in-podcasts card (free).
- Video podcasts: switch between Listen and Watch; offline video downloads with Plus.
- Plus also adds iCloud sync and listening on Apple Watch without your iPhone.
- Coming soon to Plus: skip chapters (untick chapters and playback jumps over them every time that episode plays, such as the talk or ad breaks in a DJ mix) and smart playlist auto-download (downloads the first 10 episodes a playlist matches and keeps them until they leave it; video-only episodes are never auto-downloaded).
- Coming soon, free: smart playlist rules for audio or video and favourited episodes; mono audio (the same mix in both ears, for one AirPod or one-sided hearing); and Smart Complete, which marks an episode played when under 5 minutes are left and it hasn't been played for 48 hours (off by default).
