Terms of Use
PodMeister Terms of Use
Last updated: October 26, 2026
Who You Are Agreeing With
PodMeister is a registered business name of Machine Info Tech Pty Ltd (Australia) — "we", "us", "our". These terms cover the PodMeister app, this website, and the separately operated PodMeister notification service.
By downloading or using PodMeister you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains what information is handled and forms part of these terms.
What PodMeister Costs
PodMeister is free to download, and the core of the app stays free with no time limit and no advertising. That includes subscribing to shows, downloading and playing episodes, the queue, playback speed, Skip Quiet Gaps, Soften Silence, the sleep timer, Save for Later, manual playlists and the built-in smart playlists, transcripts the publisher provides, listening insights and your shareable year, CarPlay, Siri, Chromecast, AirPlay, new-episode alerts checked on your device, and controlling playback and using complications on Apple Watch.
PodMeister Plus is an optional paid subscription that unlocks:
- the ten-band equaliser, Clearer Voices, and Loudness Levelling;
- on-device transcription (in beta);
- custom smart playlists;
- the tracklist companion;
- iCloud sync across your devices;
- instant new-episode notifications;
- listening on Apple Watch without your iPhone;
- downloading video episodes to watch offline.
We may add features to Plus over time, and may make a Plus feature free (listening insights moved from Plus to free in October 2026). We will not move a feature that is free in PodMeister 1.0 behind the paywall for people who already have it.
Subscription, Trial, Billing and Cancellation
PodMeister Plus is an auto-renewing annual subscription. New subscribers start with a 14-day free trial.
- The current price is shown in the app and on the App Store before you confirm. Prices vary by country and currency, and may change — you'll be told before any change affects you, as Apple requires.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings — Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- If you cancel, Plus keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- If you have used a PodMeister free trial before, you may not be offered another one.
Apple, not us, processes payments and handles refunds. Refund requests go to Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds for App Store purchases, but tell us if something went wrong and we'll help where we can.
If Plus Lapses
Nothing you created is deleted when a subscription ends. Playlists, transcripts and settings stay on your device; the Plus features that act on them simply stop until you resubscribe. iCloud sync stops syncing but does not erase what has already synced, and videos you have already downloaded stay watchable.
Podcast Content Isn't Ours
PodMeister is a player. Shows and episodes are published by third parties over public feeds, and we do not create, own, endorse, moderate or control them. Responsibility for a podcast's content rests with whoever publishes it.
Podcast content may be inaccurate, offensive, or unsuitable for some listeners. If a feed's own terms restrict how its content may be used, those terms apply to you when you play it.
Transcripts are generated automatically. They will contain errors and should not be relied on as an accurate record of what was said.
Share Links
Sharing a show, an episode or your year creates a public page on podmeister.app. Anyone with the link can open it, and links do not expire. A link points to the publisher's own feed and audio; it does not give anyone a copy of the episode. Ask through the support page to have a link you shared taken down, and we may remove a link that breaks these terms or that a publisher asks us to remove.
Using PodMeister Properly
Please don't:
- use PodMeister to infringe copyright, or to redistribute episodes or transcripts you don't have the right to share;
- put anything unlawful, abusive, or someone else's private information in the name on a shared year summary, a playback problem note, or a support message;
- attempt to defeat, reverse-engineer or work around the subscription or its entitlement checks;
- interfere with, overload or probe the notification service or this website, or use them in a way that degrades them for others;
- use PodMeister where doing so would break the law that applies to you.
We may suspend access to the notification service, or to Plus features that depend on our servers, if it's being abused in a way that threatens the service for other people.
Your Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use PodMeister on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. We keep all rights in the app, its name, and its design that these terms do not expressly grant you. PodMeister is a trademark of Machine Info Tech Pty Ltd.
Content you add — feeds you subscribe to, playlists you build, transcripts generated on your device — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it.
Availability
PodMeister depends on services we don't run: podcast hosts, Apple's catalogue, Apple Push Notification service, iCloud, and the networks in between. Features that rely on them can be interrupted or change without notice.
We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the app or the notification service. If we discontinue something material to a paid subscription, you can cancel, and we'll direct you to Apple for any refund you're entitled to.
Australian Consumer Law
If you are in Australia, our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures you are entitled to a replacement or refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods or services remedied if they are not of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees. The limitations below apply only to the extent the law allows.
Disclaimers and Limits
Except as set out above, PodMeister is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or loss of profit or opportunity arising from your use of PodMeister.
Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of resupply — and in any case is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for PodMeister or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Ending These Terms
You can stop using PodMeister at any time by deleting it — remembering to cancel any subscription separately with Apple. We may end these terms if you materially breach them, and the sections on content ownership, disclaimers, limits and governing law survive.
Changes to These Terms
If these terms change, the updated version is published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes that affect a paid subscription will be notified before they take effect. Continuing to use PodMeister after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. Nothing here removes a right you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
